Blue Sea Glass is where adventure, imagination, nature, and a little irreverence meet.
G.J. is originally from Long Island, New York. After military service, he pursued academic studies leading to a graduate degree in writing from Johns Hopkins University. With an academic concentration in science writing, he became a published science writer as he began his second career as an English professor.
Upon full retirement, G.J. moved to the Florida Keys, where he lived and wrote aboard his motor yacht, MV Spiritu. Hurricane Irma blew him back to his senses and to the southwest coast of Florida, where he now resides and writes in a real house.
Of all the writing genres he has dabbled in, poetry has become his favorite. When the words need a breath of fresh air, he and his beach buddy, Kaspar, a 1970 VW Westfalia, head for one of the region’s scenic beaches. G.J. is a member of the Florida Writers Association and the Suncoast Writers Guild.
