Ava Avocado started out
as a discarded nut,
that split into two halves
resembling a butt.
Warm sun and water came
and awakened her soul.
Soon a little tree sprig poked
out from its hole.
Her teeny tiny green leaves
reached for the sun;
her roots grew down deeper,
with work to be done.
With light upon her leaves,
she breathed in and out;
her roots took in water, ate
nutrients, no doubt.
Breathing, drinking, eating,
in time, bigger she grew;
producing yummy avocados
for me and for you.
