I’ve got a roof rack
for luggage,
spare tire mounted
on the front;
freeing more space
for two inside;
room for whoopee,
to be blunt.
Raised deck for a
futon mattress,
opaque curtains for
sleeping nude;
drawers for storing
clothes ‘n stuff,
shelves for dishes,
books, ‘n food.
Cubbyholes for
the miscellany:
tools to tweak me
on the road;
ceiling troughs to
hide stuff in,
up out of sight ‘n
neatly stowed.
Not your average
Holiday Inn,
not your typical
ride;
no mobile home,
but homey;
a friend ‘n source
of pride.
