I’m up feeling rested
before the sunrise;
sipping a cup of java,
then soon realize
I’ve no pressing work,
nowhere to go,
but to revel in the day;
yield to its flow.
Been there, done that,
paid my dues;
living each day the
way I choose.
A treasure trove yet
to be tapped,
of the wisdom of life,
loosely wrapped.
Please don’t be shy,
come peek inside.
I’ve plenty to share;
nothing to hide.
That which I’ve sewn,
now may you reap,
before death demands
my secrets I keep.
