Insta, Meta, Tik Tok, are
not who we truly are.
Online we are:
beautiful and handsome
most of the time;
regal and poised
most of the time;
clean and fragrant
most of the time;
happy and cheerful
most of the time;
interesting and intriguing
most of the time;
composed and alluring
most of the time.
Offline we are:
frumpy and disheveled
some of the time;
awkward and clumsy
some of the time;
sweaty and stinky
some of the time;
sad and depressed
some of the time;
dull and boring
some of the time;
frustrated and frigid
some of the time.
Social media aside:
we are amazingly alike
having hopes, dreams,
fears, and insecurities,
needing to be uplifted,
cheered on, celebrated,
comforted, to help make
our human experience,
our time on this planet,
something richer, and
and more meaningful
than who and what we
portray on social media.
Truth be known:
online or offline,
first and foremost,
we are physically,
mentally, and
spiritually,
brothers and
sisters of
one global,
human family
ALL of the time.
